Mullins Trucking LLC is a Kentucky trucking company hauling out of Jenkins since the 1950s. The photos below are from real jobs — flatbed hauls, dump-truck runs, long-haul rigs on the interstate, and yard shots of the trucks we keep on the road. What You're Looking At
Most of what you see here is Peterbilt — red, black, and maroon tractors that have been through our own shop more than once. Behind them you'll find the trailers the work actually calls for: aluminum end dumps for coal and rock, grain trailers, step decks, lowboys for equipment moves, and straight dump trucks for the shorter yard-to-job-site runs. A few shots are taken in the Jenkins yard with the fleet lined up, and a few are from the road at three in the morning, because that is when a lot of this job happens.
There are shop pictures in here too — a diesel engine torn down and rebuilt on the bench. We put those in on purpose. Keeping older trucks running well is the whole reason our equipment looks the way it does, and it is a fair bit of why a load leaves on time. The cab interiors are in the set for the same reason: a driver who spends his week in that seat ought to have a truck worth sitting in.
Why We Bother Showing It
Trucking is full of websites with stock photos and no trucks behind them. Mullins Trucking LLC has hauled out of Jenkins, Kentucky since the early 1950s, when the owner's grandfather started the company — first coal trucking outfit in the area, the way our family tells it. We came through the early-2000s downturn that shut down most of our neighbors, and today there are around thirty of us, employees and contractors. Every truck on this page is one we own, maintain, and dispatch ourselves. If you are weighing us against somebody else, this is the honest version of what shows up at your job site.
